📝Never Underestimate a Good Post-it Note📝
Feb 17, 2026
(Sometimes Clarity comes in a 3x3 form. Sometimes it’s 2x1 and neon orange.)
In a world of chaos, bless the humble Post-it Note.
They aren’t glamorous. They don’t synch to your Google Calendar. And sometimes they fall off when you need them most. They show up, eventually. They hold on, mostly. They say what needs saying.
One has been on my computer monitor for weeks. It says: Just do the work. Not exactly poetic. Definitely not going viral. Still, it gets me out of my head every time I'm tempted to scroll…ahem I mean research for five minutes instead of writing.
There’s another one on my bathroom mirror that says: Turn Toward. It’s a reminder to always turn toward my True Self.
Tucked inside my notebook that travels through my day with me you'll find, “How is this a loving gift?” It’s a question that changes how I see the moment I’m in.
None of these are fancy. They are curling at the edge, and probably losing their stick, but they still serve to remind me who I am, what I value and how I want to show up.
Sometimes, one sticky note is enough to re-center a whole day.
Also, never underestimate the power of multiple sizes and multiple colors. The tiny ones for margin notes that say “breathe” or “get stamps.”
The big square ones that get their own moment of spotlight. “Not today, fear.”
The neon pink ones for emergencies.
The pale blue ones that give calm reminders.
The canary yellow ones when you need to feel grounded.
The electric lime that’s basically shouting, “DO THE THING!”
If I ever change careers, I want to be the person who names Post-it colors.
“Sunset Whisper.”
“Radical Confidence.”
“Tuesday Fog”
“Kindness You Can See from Space.”
Tell me this is not a job that would heal the world.
🟨Sticky Note Side Quest: Sizes, Color & Sticky Joy
- The original Post-it note was a happy accident. A 3M scientist created a low-tack adhesive while trying to make something stronger. Another scientist saw it’s potential and the rest is desk-supply history.
- They were originally called Press ‘n Peel. (Great branding decision.)
- The first Post-it Notes were yellow simply because that was the only scrap paper color available in the lab next door.
Some of the most beloved sizes:
- 3" x 3" – The one. The legend. The emotional support square.
- 4" x 6" lined – For when you need to say more and stay organized.
- 2" x 2" – Tiny but mighty. Great for one-word truths or gentle reminders.
- 5" x 2" – Long and skinny. Like a secret tucked in your planner.
- Flag size – For marking books or saying “You’re doing okay” in miniature.
I should probably warn you, though. They seem to very tempting for sweet black labs...as show in the picture above.
Your shoes are safe.
Your socks are safe.
But your Post-it Notes?
You’ve been warned.
She has excellent taste in clarity tools. Literally.
If you are low on supplies (or just want to fill your heart with Post-it joy), here is my affiliate my favorite 3x3 sticky notes collection and my favorite Beachside Café color. I may earn a tiny commission, probably just enough to have a back up pack, or a chew-proof container. 🐾
If the list is too long, if the calendar’s yelling, if your brain is running laps—maybe you don’t need a whole system. Maybe you just need one square of sunshine with words to keep you going...
You are not behind.
Be where your feet are.
You’re still becoming.
Grace, not hustle.
Write one today.
Stick it where you’ll see it.
And if you do—message me what it says.
I’d love to know what’s helping you hold steady.
I’ll be cheering you on and passing out Post-it notes,

Here's my book...✨Practicing Enough
